Outreach and Service
The Women’s Ministry is a ministry designed to enrich the lives of women in our community, not just the women at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church. Our desire is to challenge each other to look beyond ourselves to see the needs of others, whether it’s in our own community or around the world.
- You can get involved by supporting our efforts at Peachtree Elementary through our Tuesday morning workdays at the school, donations of school supplies, and other ways. In May, we partner with the Missions Committee to sponsor inflatables and an information table at Peachtree's International Block Party. You can help with the Block Party by staffing a 45-minute shift with one of the inflatables.
- The Norcross Co-Operative Ministry is a faith-based, non-profit, non-political, ecumenical ministry dedicated to providing emergency assistance to families in the city of Norcross and the Gwinnett County portions of Tucker and Doraville, suburbs north of Atlanta, GA. As a Women's Ministry, we will coordinate with the Norcross Co-Op to have a work night once a quarter to help by restocking the food pantry and clothes closet or in a variety of other ways.
- Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Operation Christmas Child has shared the Good News of God’s love with hurting children through the simplest of gifts—shoe boxes! Filled with school supplies, toys, and personal items that are packed by caring people, these boxes help introduce children to Jesus Christ. You can get involved by filling a shoebox or by joining the Women’s Ministry as we help sort and prep the shoeboxes at the local distribution warehouse. This activity will take place in late November/early December.
