Singles 1 Life Group at PCBC!Our Singles Life Group is a community of singles in their 30's and 40's committed to "Doing Life Together" through loving each other, learning God's Word, and making Christ known through serving. Singles 1 Life Group meets each Sunday from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. in Room C-128. (Stop by any of the welcome desks near the front entrances and they'll be happy to show you the way.) This time is spent learning God's word, praying for each other, and encouraging each other in our daily lives. We all come from different backgrounds with a wide variety of knowledge of God's word from those who have been Christians for many years to those seeking to learn more about God and His word. "Doing Life Together" means no one is meant to live solely on their own without help, love or encouragement from other believers. We serve each other in many ways from praying for each other, helping each other financially, raking someone's leaves or bringing them meals when sick or incapacitated. We also get together for fun and fellowship through lunch after church each Sunday, playing Trivia at a local restaurant, game and movie nights just to name a few. Singles 1 is also a serving class involved in many ministries in the church as well as outside the church. Our members put their faith into serving in the church choir, orchestra, mission trips/conferences, church committees, Happy Hearts respite care program, children's ministry, greeters, and Operation Christmas child just to name a few. Outside of PCBC we serve by volunteering at Norcross Cooperative Ministry, reaching out to the homeless in Atlanta, health fairs, apartment ministry, as well as participating in other Single Outreach programs in the area. If you are looking for a group of Singles who love to learn and put into practice God's word, encourage each other and serve others all while having fun and "Doing Life Together", then please join us. For more information on Singles 1, please contact one of the following: Looking for more information, contact:Singles 1 Life Group leader, Cheryl McNair at 770.729.1454, or Shay Tanner on the church staff at 770-582-2479Click Here to contact us We look forward to meeting you! Young Singles at PCBC!Our Young Singles Life Group is a community of singles in their 20s and early 30s committed to loving each other, learning God’s Word, and making Christ known. The Young Singles group meets each Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in Room C-110 . (Stop by any of the welcome desks near the front entrances and they’ll be happy to show you the way.) These gatherings are generally devoted to talking about the rest of the week’s activities, and to Bible study.Through the week, we get together regularly for fun, prayer and ministry – everything from Snow Mountain, lunch after church on Sundays or wings on a Thursday night, to helping feed the homeless and sharing our faith, to weekly gatherings for prayer. We’re intentional about seeking serious answers to life’s hardest questions and problems from the Bible, and then helping each other live out those answers every day. If you’re a long-time Christian looking for a church home to plug into, a new Christian looking to learn more about the Bible, or just hungry to find answers to your spiritual questions, give us a try. Visitors are welcome anytime. No judgments, no expectations, just Jesus. What’s the best way to find out more about the Young Singles at PCBC?You can call the Young Singles Life Group leaders, Eric and Karen Allen, at 770-449-1622, or call Shay Tanner on the church staff, 770-582-2479, or just show up on Sunday morning. Do I have to dress up?You can dress however you like. Our young singles wear anything from jeans and t-shirts to dresses. I don’t know much about the Bible. Will that be awkward?Actually, that’s a major reason for our Sunday morning gatherings – to learn. So if you don’t know anything, you’ll fit right in. What if I don’t know anybody? With this group, that figures to be a problem for about 20 seconds. How can I find out what upcoming activities the Young Singles have planned? In the future, we plan to have a Young Singles activities calendar on this website. For now, the best way would be to call the phone numbers above, or . . . just show up. I’d really like to get to know some young singles who are committed to knowing God and spiritual matters, but I’m not comfortable going to church. Is there another way?Call the numbers above and we’ll hook you up with our next out-of-church activity. That way you can meet us, see what we’re about, and then decide whether you’d like to attend on a Sunday morning. end faq

Inclement Weather PolicyThe Women's Ministry's Inclement Weather PolicyFor activities that take place during the day such as Tuesday morning Bible study, we follow Gwinnett County's schedule. So, if Gwinnett schools are closed, we will not be having Bible study that day. We will also try to post something on the WM's Facebook page and on the WM's homepage. For evening activities, we will make a decision and try to let people know by 4 PM on the day of the event. We will post a notification WM's Facebook page and on the WM's homepage.
You will have the opportunity to examine and discuss what the Bible has to say about such subjects as prayer, work, managing our time and money, marriage, and being a Godly parent/husband/wife and coworker in the marketplace. We have small groups specifically for women, men, couples, and individuals who simply have a common interest in a specific subject. The classes are designed to help equip you to grow in your faith and your personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. They also are intended to help prepare you for service and ministry through our local church. The schedule is as follows: From Here to Maturity Led by Pastor Charles Lake • Coed • Fellowship HallGod’s work of salvation is only the beginning of our walk with the Lord. As quickly as possible, we want to get off the milk of the Word and on to the meat. God uses not only His Word but all of life’s experiences to grow us into His likeness. We’ll study the instruments God uses to take us from where we are in Him to where He wants us to be. Men United in Small Groups Led by Bobby Reynolds & Billy Madden • Men • Prayer TowerMen of every age are invited to sign up for a small group for 9 months. We will consider how to become the spiritual leaders God created us to be as we study Scripture, share life stories, and pray for one another. These accountability groups will help you grow closer to Jesus and provide encouragement so you represent Jesus well in your families, in your neighborhoods and networks, and to the nations. Contact Bobby Reynolds at BobbyLReynolds@gmail.com or 770.354.4725 for more information. Contact the Education Office at 770.582.2479 if you are interested in men’s groups at other times of the week. Discover how justification by faith relates to day-by-day living through the Holy Spirit’s power—the amazing process of sanctification (Romans 6-8 ). Workbook $27 Spiritual Mothering Led by Julie White • Women • Room C114-115This class presents a fully biblical and extremely practical vision for intergenerational ministry so that women of all ages can know the blessing of spiritual mother-daughter relationships. For many churches, women’s ministries, and women’s Bible study groups, the missing element of discipleship is the interpersonal aspect. Titus 2:3-5 clarifies what mature spiritual relationships between generations of women should look like. This is a book study by Susan Hunt who unveils how to put that model into action with stories of biblical and contemporary women who have responded to God’s call, as well as page after page of personal encouragement, practical insight, and ministry-tested how-to’s. Book $11 Wednesday Night Art Class Led by Pearl Brown • Coed • Room C314If you are interested in joining a group of people who love the Lord and love art, please join us on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 PM. If you have ever looked at someone’s artwork and thought "Oh, I wish I could do that"…You can! If you do have experience with art mediums, please join us and bring your knowledge, tips and tricks to share. PCBC will plan out and provide materials for the first six weeks and then the group will begin to choose different projects based on the needs of the participants—at that time there will be a fee for the supplies.
