The Practice of Giving In the Old Testament the Lord says "bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it." A tithe was considered 10% of total income. In the New Testament, Jesus went above and beyond the Old Testament. Jesus taught that we should be willing to sacrifice what we have or what we want and give to those in need. (Matthew 19:21 ). We want our people to experience the blessings of the Lord. We encourage every member to tithe (10% of gross salary). This is an expectation for every church member in leadership roles. We encourage you to accept the Lord's invitation to test Him in this and see how HE will work in your life as a result!
We have several methods of giving. You may choose to have monthly direct deposits, make stock gifts (which will allow you to avoid paying taxes on capital gains), mail checks, and now e-Giving online etc. For assistance, please contact the church office at 770-582-2451 or click HERE to contact us by email.
